Dear Friends,
To live generously is to reflect the very nature of God. How do we know this to be true? Consider the words of John 3:16: “For God so loved… that he gave.” Or consider the gift of creation itself: countless galaxies full of stars and boundless seas teeming with life. In all of these, we see the generous heart of God. And life in relationship with God is a generous life.
In worship this month we are exploring God’s abundant provision, God’s endless grace, and the ways that generosity is often the backdrop for the miraculous. We will also be celebrating the ways generosity is making a difference in the life of our church, such as:
Expanded community outreach
Vibrant and growing worship services
Improvements to our church building
Lives touched by our ministries of compassion
Your generosity makes a real difference in Friendship’s ministries. And we'd like to invite you to participate in God’s work by making a financial pledge for the coming year. Some members practice the biblical tithe—giving ten percent of their income to support the mission of the church. Others give proportionally, committing a certain percentage. Still others give as they are able. Every gift helps Friendship share God’s love in tangible ways.
As we begin this year’s annual giving campaign, we hope you'll consider making a pledge so we can continue in the work of following Jesus and sharing his love with others. This year we have created Narrative Ministry Budget to you help you see the impact of your giving.
If you'd like to Pledge Online, use the button below to visit our online form.
If you prefer to use a Paper Pledge Card, you can find one on the tables in the narthex. The paper cards may be returned by any of the following: (a) through the offering plate, (b) mailed to the church, or (c) dropped by the office.
If you have any questions, please reach out.
Grace and peace,
Pastor Jim
