Good Friday, the Friday before Easter, is the day that Christians remember and honor God's self-giving, self-sacrificing love that was demonstrated in the passion and death of Jesus Christ. Join us this Good Friday at 12:00 PM for a special Tenebrae Service (or Service of Darkness).
You will hear the story of Jesus's passion from Matthew's gospel, which will be divided into six readings. Accompanying each reading, a symbol from the story will be lifted up for contemplation and a hymn will be sung.
Following each reading, a candle will be extinguished to remind us of the increasing darkness as we move through the passion story.
