Dear Friends in Christ,
One of the most beautiful truths of our faith is that God’s nature is generous. Bishop Robert Schnase reminds us that generosity is not simply something God does — it’s who God is. From the wonder of creation to the gift of Christ himself, God continually pours out grace, love, and blessing in ways that are abundant and life giving.
Because we are made in God’s image, generosity is meant to be part of our nature as well. Bishop Schnase calls this extravagant generosity — giving that flows from gratitude, deepens our faith, and reflects the heart of Christ. In the coming weeks, we will explore how generosity shapes us spiritually and how God uses our giving to bless others in ways we may never fully see.
We will also celebrate the ways generosity is already making a difference in the life of our church, such as:
Improvements to our church facility
New ministries for young people
Vibrant and growing worship services
Lives touched by our ministries of compassion
Your generosity makes a real difference in Friendship’s ministries. As we begin our annual giving campaign, we invite you to prayerfully consider making a financial pledge for the coming year. Some members practice the biblical tithe; others give proportionally or as they are able. Every gift, offered with gratitude and faith, helps us share God’s love in tangible ways.
This year we have created Narrative Ministry Budget to you help you see the impact of your giving.
If you'd like to Pledge Online, use the button below to visit our online form.
If you prefer to use a Paper Pledge Card, you can find one on the tables in the narthex. The paper cards may be returned through the offering plate, mailed to the church, or dropped by the office.
If you have any questions, please reach out.
Grace and peace,
Pastor Jim
