An Invitation to Give
Friendship Stewardship Campaign 2021
November 14, 2020
Dear Friendship UMC Family,
We send this letter to you in the ninth month of the coronavirus pandemic. While the world is turning upside down, know that the ministries of Friendship United Methodist Church have continued all along. Back in March, we successfully transitioned to online platforms for worship, meetings, and classes. We were even able to hold this past summer’s Vacation Bible School online. Friendship Child Care Center reopened under enhanced safety guidelines in July. Our bell choirs are once again ringing their praises. And we have even resumed our community outreach events outdoors, thus maintaining our connections with community families as well as making new connections.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your faithful support of the church in the midst of everything that has been going on in our world. We want to especially highlight the generous giving of the former Graham Road UMC members, which has helped the church remain strong. With the recent good news about one of the coronavirus trial vaccines, we are hopeful that in-person worship services will be able to resume at some point in 2021. Given the valuable experience that we have gained with online platforms, we plan on continuing to offer online options for those who are not able to participate in person. Therefore, the church’s capacity for reaching others with the love of Jesus Christ has expanded. We are also hopeful that once the lockdown is over there will be such great enthusiasm for gathering opportunities that the church’s ministries will make a strong rebound in 2021.
Because of your faithful and generous support during the pandemic, the church is financially solvent. We invite you to consider how you can support the church’s ministries in 2021. Will you consider making a weekly, monthly, or annual financial commitment? Clicking on the button below will take you to an Estimate of Giving form. Filling out this form helps the church plan for the future, and your response is appreciated. Thank you for your faithful and generous support, which will enable the ministries of the church to flourish in 2021!
Grace and peace,
Pastor Thomas, Pastor Jim, and the Church Council
